Rein In Remote Access!

You may have a trusted friend access your computer remotely and “fix it!” Most of us don’t. If so, consider disabling remote access until needed.

Access the System applet in the Control Panel. Click Remote Settings and then review the Remote Settings tab to choose secure settings (see Figure 5).
