Getting your Data into PowerPivot

There are many ways to get data into PowerPivot. If you have data that is already in Excel, you can simply copy the data (including one row of headings), go to the PowerPivot window, and paste the data into PowerPivot.

However, this creates a second copy of the data that will not reflect changes made in Excel, so you should consider creating a linked table instead.
