It has been said many times already, but it's worth repeating: iPad is one of the most revolutionary devices that have come around in years. On the surface it seem like a cross between a tablet PC, a net book and an iPod, but comparing it to any one of these other devices doesn't do the full justice. iPad is truly revolutionizing how we approach the use of computers, and it is bound to have an impact on all of the other computing devices. iPad is an always-on, easily accessible and intuitive computing platform. Even though the ease of use is one of its hallmarks, if you have never used an iPod or an iPhone you may have some initial difficulties with using it.

The new iPad has been a major improvement on the original iPad concept, and a significant change over iPad 2, especially when it comes to graphical abilities. Whatever version of iPad you use, however, many of the fundamental tasks are still the same. Nonetheless, there are some important changes that need to be... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book. New iPad owners over the age of 15 need it., May 19, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: My iPad (covers iOS 5.1 on iPad, iPad 2, and iPad 3rd gen) (4th Edition) (Paperback)
I bought two books to go with my iPad 3rd generation. This book "My iPad" and "iPad The Missing Manual." Learning how to make home-screen App folders, making videos, editing Bookmarks & folders, troubleshooting, photo editing, iWork tips and notes, everything I need is in these two books. I love my iPad, it is my first one, and I like to read and reread things to fully understand them so I bought hard copies of both books. I am so far over 15 that this technology is worlds beyond what I am used to using. And I don't have time to learn everything. Only what I am interested in knowing and using.

This is a pretty good book on the iPad but could be a bit better organized --- I bought iPad for Dummies at the same time and this is a much better book and I would recommend this book over the "Dummies" book.
