5.0 out of 5 stars exceeds expectaions, a must read for new android owners, July 28, 2012

Nutshell: dead simple, very useful, a must read for people new to (or just confused by) Android phones.

Every possible useful feature of Android 4 and the Galaxy Nexus is covered in an easy to understand format including screen shots and tips for both PC and Mac users. The author is never condescending or technical or too wordy. He covers every feature, why you would want to use it and how to set it up and provides step by step screenshots with annotations. You can easily skip around to just the parts you want, like setting up Google Voice voicemail and ignore what you aren't interested in.
I have only read about half the chapters and I have already gotten my money's worth out of the book and now also out of my new phone!
Highly recommended.

P.S. My kudos to the author. This is really the most useful "missing manual" type book I have read. Why doesn't Google just hire this guy to write their User Guides?

5.0 out of 5 stars How to be as Smart as your phone, September 22, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: My Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Paperback)
Getting a Smart phone was exciting, up until I had to answer my first incoming call. Then I realized that I needed help. Working at a library, I reviewed all available books on the Smart phones and decided on "My Samsung Galaxy Nexus" by Craig Johnston. It is the clearest, most informative book on the phone and has increased my enjoyment of this amazing phone. I now am almost as smart as the phone.

I am so glad I bought and read this book! I learned some very valuable tips and tricks for my new phone. The new android phones do so much more than they used to unless you're a tech geek, you definitely need a book like this one to guide you.
