From the Music app on your iOS device, you can select any individual songs or complete Playlists and have them streamed to your television or home theater system as well. Once your selected music starts playing on your iOS device, tap the AirPlay icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the screen. Select Apple TV from the popup menu. Within two or three seconds, you'll begin hearing your selected song or playlist emanating from the speakers of your television set or home theater system.
As the music is playing, use the onscreen controls on your iOS device to control your music, or use the Apple TV's supplied remote control unit.
