Mark Edward Soper

Mark Edward Soper has worked with computers and related technologies since 1983, and specializes in technology education through training, writing, and public speaking. He has taught computer troubleshooting and other subjects to thousands of students across the USA, and is a CompTIA A+ Certified computer technician and a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Mark is the author or co-author of 18 books on PC hardware upgrades, digital photography, broadband Internet, home networking, and home automation for Pearson's Que Publishing and Peachpit imprints, including his newest book, MaximumPC Guide to Windows Vista Exposed: an Insider's Guide to Supercharging Windows Vista, and has also contributed to several best-selling book series, including Upgrading and Repairing PCs, Special Edition Using Windows, and Easy.

Mark is the official Windows blogger for the Maximum PC website, and has written about Windows Vista's security features for BusinessWeek.com.

Mark has also provided online self-help content for Skywire Software, technology screening questions for ReviewNet, and currently teaches applied technology classes for IvyTech Community College of Indiana. Mark lives in Evansville, Indiana, and blogs at www.markesoper.com.
