.i am still looking for a book that really explains the pieces needed for a home recording set up well enough so that i can actually assemble my own recording editing playback system. . they all start with a mishmash jumble of some things that relate to doing that then jump into some software program you cant run because you still dont have a workign home studio. . this book is the same as the rest. . the plus side is that it uses software that you might actually want to use again instead of some oddball minor DAW or shareware program. this book uses acid pro and sound forge which is on my short list along with cubase and some others -- if i can ever get the hardware set up finished. . the glossary is more complete than others. . i was able to learn a little by inference but am still totally confused about all the pieces that are needed, those that are nice, and how they overlap with others that do more than one function...
