Sams Teach Yourself Ipad worked for me. After reading each chapter and following along on my new Ipad2 I was thrilled with all I had learned to do a relatively short time (although not ten minutes.) This book is straightforward and the sequencing was excellent-easy to follow and good diagrams to explain how to do things visually as well.I highly recommend this book for anyone with a new Ipad 2. I tried to get into the user classes at a MAC book store, and since they were all full when I checked I got this book. I personally think I learned alot more from this book than I would have from a group class. I liked this book so much I just ordered his book for the MAC computer I have had for a year to learn more tips on its usage.This author knows how to teach simply and clearly.
iPad book is not for techies and he is clear about that,

The book delivers what it promised: non-techie, quick sections, functionality in a hurry. It is easy to read in short segments
User guide for ipad2,

The book is a good source, BUT I found it hard to refer back and forth between it and my pad. The simpler way is accessing the Users Guide built right into the iPad itself, I found reading Lesson 3, page 65. I am using my local library copy now but buying this book for my home library is a must. Another fine feature of this book (comparing it with 4 or 5 library loans) it is smaller, light weight, and less awakward to use.PS: Page 65 using the Safari App just tap the Bookmarks button, select iPad Users Guide and tap any icon you want to learn about, but buy this book. |
